The Georgia State Architects Licensing Board Rule
50-2A-.01(1), and the Georgia State Engineers and Land Surveyors Licensing Board
Rule 180-12-.02(4), BOTH prohibit
architect/engineers from using electronic (computer generated) signatures/date
for their seals – the signature AND date
MUST be original ~ an original signature on the original drawing and then copies
make for a submittal (i.e. ‘wet’ seal is typically not required) is apparently
acceptable, but anytime you see that the signature on each sheet is identical,
then the architect/engineer has violated these Board Rules and can be subject to
disciplinary action by the applicable State Board… not to mention the 'document'
is techically illegitimate!
We find consulations, we learn tricks with which
we deceive ourselves, but the essential thing - the way - we do not find. Listen
to the river.
